About Us

Our Foundation

Bicester Spiritualist Church was formed in June 1989 by Rita Clifton and three other founder members, using the Kings Arms in Market Square for their spiritual meetings.

In 1991 Bicester Spiritualist Church gained charitable status and became an  affiliated member of the Christian Spiritualist Church International (CSSI). Becoming affiliated to the CSSI enabled BSC to establish itself as a healing centre and authorised to teach healing to others.

BSC moved from the Market Square to the Pop-In Centre in Crown Walk and operated very successfully from there for a number of years, in 2011, we took over the hall and re-named it the The Clifton Centre after our founder Rita Clifton. The KEA Club continues to operate as a separate entity.

BSC offers not only Divine Services, but also workshops ranging in many aspects of mediumship, basic and bereavement counselling, marriage ceremonies, funeral services, naming ceremonies and renewal of wedding  vows.
We also offer certified courses on counselling and healing.
